MGS Conflict with Crossing Pipe Culvert

Question
State IL
Description Text

A Midwest Guardrail System (6’-0 W6x9 steel post at 6’-3” post spacing) is planned to be installed. However, a conflict has been identified between the proposed guardrail post locations and a crossing pipe culvert. It is possible that a post spacing will be 6’-9” instead of 6’-3”. Would this be an acceptable tolerance without change any post thickness or embedment?

Guidance is appreciated.

I think we have answered a similar question previously. See the response at the link below. If that does not address the question, let me know and I’d be happy to discuss it further.
