On a reinforced concrete deck we have a minimum thickness of the deck of 8 inches for the adhesive anchor.
If we have an unreinforced slab how thick does the concrete need to be?
We evaluated the concrete PCB anchorage to MASH TL-3 using anchors with 5.25” embedment. That was installed in our unreinforced concrete tarmac at our test site.
In terms of thickness, one would want the slab to around 7.25” thick at a minimum. This would provide for the full embedment plus an additional 2”.
The reinforcement is not a critical as we tested in an unreinforced slab.
